India marched into the finals of Under 19 cricket world cup by defeating Pakistan by 203 runs.

India Vs Pakistan matches often gets the top billing but this match was an one-sided affair. India batted first in this battle of arch-rivals. The Indian opening batting duo of P Shaw and M Kalra gave the team a good start and made 89 runs before the captain P Shaw got run out. The wicket of P Shaw saw the Indian Vice-Captain Shubham Gill take the guard at the crease and he stuck to his task till the very end of the innings scoring 102 runs. The Indian team, in the end, managed to score 272 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in their quota of 50 overs.

Pakistan had to begin well to have any chance of chasing the total. The Indian opening bowlers S Mavi and I Porel started excellently and did not give the Pakistan batsmen an inch. The first wicket of Pakistan fell in the fourth over at the team score of 10 and thereafter the wickets fell continuously leading to a collapse of the batting order. The Pakistan batsmen managed to score a paltry 69 runs in 29.3 overs.

The Indian opening duo of pacers bowled an excellent first spell of bowling.Shivam Mavi who opened the spell of bowling did not pick up wickets, but he bowled a miserly spell of 4 overs in which 3 were maidens. IC Porel was the best Indian bowler of the day with him picking up 4 wickets.
